Editorial standards

How we choose who appears here, what we publish, and how we tell you about our relationships.

Listing is by invitation, and free

No one pays to be listed or featured. We invite experts whose work we can point to, including peers who are not Coble Tree clients. Being a client never guarantees a listing or a feature, and no Coble Tree plan or service includes one.

We publish earned work

Every feature is built on a source independent of us and of the expert. That means a podcast or interview they were invited onto, research published with an institution, press coverage, an award, or a speaking engagement. We cite that source and link to it, and we embed the original where the platform offers an official player. An expert's own marketing content stays on their own website.

Roundups we originate ourselves are labelled as Coble Tree editorial and are not presented as independent recognition.

Original writing, short quotes

Our articles are our own writing. Quotes are short, attributed excerpts checked against the original, and we never republish a full recording or transcript. Research published with an institution appears only with that institution's clearance, and never with patient or other confidential data.

Relationships are disclosed

Some experts are Coble Tree clients or former clients. Their profiles and the articles they appear in say so. Links to experts' own sites are editorial: we include them because they're useful to you, not because anyone paid for them.

Approval and accuracy

Every article is approved before publishing, by the expert featured or by a Coble Tree editor. Profiles are reviewed at least every six months. If something is wrong, tell us and we'll correct it and note the correction.

Staying listed

Profiles and published articles stay up when a client relationship ends; the disclosure changes to “former client”. Anyone listed can ask us to remove their personal information, and we will.
