This policy explains what personal information Coble Tree collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.
Who we are
Coble Tree runs Authority Factory, a managed service that helps experts and executives get recommended by people and by AI tools. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Coble Tree. "This site" means cobletree.com and the pages that belong to it.
What we collect
What we collect depends on what you do.
- Browsing this site. We see basic technical data such as your browser, device type, the pages you visit, and an approximate location. We use it to run the site and see what is useful.
- Authority Gap Check. You give us your name, company or brand, website, what you want to be known for, your primary market, and your email. Your phone number is optional. You also confirm that you agree to get your results and occasional insights from us.
- Booking a call or sending an inquiry. You give us your contact details and anything you write to us.
- Sharing feedback through an Authority Capture link. You give us your answers. You may add your name and, if you choose, contact details. You also choose whether your response can be shared publicly with your name, publicly without your name, or kept private.
- Being a client. We keep your account details, the information you provide about your work, and records of the work we do together.
- Appearing in our Expert Directory. Listing is by invitation. We publish information about an expert that comes from independent, public sources, and we say how we know it.
We do not ask for payment card numbers on this site. Payments are handled by our billing provider.
How we use it
- To run the Authority Gap Check and show you your results.
- To send the results and follow-up messages you agreed to, and to answer your questions.
- To deliver paid services you ask for.
- To keep this site secure, stop spam and abuse, and limit how often the free check can be run.
- To understand how the site is used and make it better.
- To meet legal duties.
How AI is involved in the Gap Check
The Gap Check asks AI tools a few questions that a buyer might ask, such as who to hire for what you do. We build those questions from what you typed, including your name, company, topic, and market. The questions are sent to AI service providers, which return answers. We keep those answers so we can show you your results. We do not use them to make decisions that have legal effects on you.
The results are a quick snapshot. They change by tool, location, and user.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with people who help us run the service, and only as needed. These are:
- Hosting, database, and site analytics providers.
- Our customer-relationship, email, scheduling, and billing providers.
- Our bot-protection provider, which checks that a form is being used by a person.
- AI service providers, for the Gap Check and for the analysis in our paid services.
- The expert or organization that shared an Authority Capture link with you, who receives your response.
We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect people or our rights. We may share it as part of a sale or reorganization of our business. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising. You can ask for the current list of providers through our contact page.
Cookies and similar tools
We use a small number of cookies and similar tools. Some keep you signed in to the client portal and keep it secure. Some support bot protection on our forms. We also use analytics and performance measurement to see which pages are used and how fast they load. We do not use them for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the reasons above, or as the law requires. After that we delete it or remove what identifies you. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. You can ask us to stop using it, and you can take back a consent you gave. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law.
- To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or tell us.
- To make a request, reach us through our contact page. We may need to confirm who you are first.
- If you shared a response through an Authority Capture link, tell us which one and we will help you change how it is shared.
Security and where data goes
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure. Our providers may process information in the United States and in other countries.
Children
This site is for adults and working professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in a clearer way too.
